Introduction

Did you ever think you could work with nationally recognized wardrobe designers and stylists, who can help you select and coordinate a professional wardrobe without having to break the bank?

Did you ever think you could justify the expenditure of having your clothes custom made for you so you can always have exactly what you want, without compromising and without having to take a second mortgage on the house?

The fact is that you might already be paying more for designer off-the-rack clothing, which comes with the standard minimum services, than what it would cost you for a custom wardrobe from us . In addition, our design and stylist services, which are normally charged separately at a high professional rate, are provided to you at no additional cost.

It is our patented technologies, which enables us to deliver to you custom products with the added value of our professional wardrobe services, at prices that are comparable to designer's ready to wear and much less than many of them.

What is also unique is that by virtue of over 30 years experience in conducting seminars and providing consulting services to the clothing industry, as well as our own successful retail business (please see our testimonials) we are currently able to advise you and provide you with a custom wardrobe online, without the need to meet with you in person.

If you'd like to gain a better understanding of some of the technicalities of our product and services, please review any of the topics listed below or listed on our home page, and repeated throughout.

To initiate the ordering process, please go to "Where do I start" and follow the simple procedures presented there.

If you're not convinced yet, please review some of the topics listed below. Better yet, call us and we'll explain to you how you can take advantage of this unique service by working with you online and by saving you the time and effort of having to go shopping. We promise that you'll be very pleasantly surprised.

2. What is a Wardrobe Designer

As Wardrobe Designers and Stylists, we are proficient in the following:

    1. Image Consultation
As trained professionals, we work with you to define your personal style by understanding your personal as well as your professional needs. This will help us to identify your best colors, patterns and styles, so that what we recommend to you will reflect your professional role in life as well as your personal image in an updated style.
In contrast, when shopping in stores, you'll be working with a clothing salesman versus a wardrobe stylist, who will try to sell you from a limited selection that he has hanging on the rack, which may not necessarily be your image nor fits you properly. Thus the reason you end up with so many clothes that sit in the back of the closet that you don't like to wear and would rather give away.
Working with us as your wardrobe designers, should guarantee you a closet full of favorites.

    2. Patented Custom Tailoring
In addition to providing you with clothing that are exclusively designed for you, we are able to deliver to you, with our patented process, clothing with the so-called "Naked Fit", a fit like you have seldom experienced in the past. In the same token, our approach to tailoring, inspite of it's highly technical nature, is hassle-free and doesn't require any try-ons or fittings and costs less than traditional tailoring methods.

    3. Wardrobe Planning
Most professional men don't have the time nor the inclination to figure out the proper combination of garments every time they need to dress up. What they would love to have, if they could ever find it, is to have a professional coordinate their wardrobe for them, as well as to illustrate it for them in living color. This is not a commonly available service on the market and it is an exclusive and ground-breaking one with us. (see example)

In addition to the above, we provide:

    4. Convenience
The precious time that you have to take to drive to the stores and worry about the parking, in addition to the aggravation that you have to endure in the shopping and the fitting of the clothing beside being expensive, is not an exercise that most men would care to endure. Thus, we save you time and money by coming to you so you don't have to go to the stores. We even keep complete records of your previous purchases as well as your measurements and patterns to save you time on subsequent orders.

    5. Competitive Prices
Although our garments are all tailor made, and should normally cost more than twice as much as off the rack suits of equal quality, we are able to offer them to you for the same price as Ready to Wear because of our patented tailoring technology. In addition, and as an added value, our Image Consultation and Wardrobe Planning services, which are normally available on the market at high professional rates, are provided for you at no additional cost, since you are buying the clothes from us. It is our way to earn the right to your business and at the same time helps you maximize the value of what you have bought.

3. Why Do You Need a Wardrobe Stylist?

    Professional Image

Since business clothing is not as uniformed as it once was, today it takes more than just knowing a few fundamental rules in order to present an up-to-date personal appearance.
By staying with the basics, you can easily start to look and feel boring and give the impression of lack of creativity and flexibility.
To step outside the box, as you might say, you are afraid that your shortcomings in putting together the proper combinations will become self-evident therefore reflecting negatively on your own personal capabilities.

    Dressdown Phenomenon

The so-called business casual, which falls somewhere in-between the formal and the casual, has only added to the complexity of knowing what is proper for today's business dress. Most men will readily admit that they are at a complete loss in this nebulous area of the clothing world.
It's worth mentioning at this point that business casual does not mean you can look like you're playing tennis or ready to tee off or going fishing, when you're, in reality, doing business. You'll be surprised at the different options that we can show you.

    The Benefits to You

Utilizing the skill of a wardrobe stylist gives you many advantages, among them:
    * You save yourself lots of valuable time in selecting and coordinating your clothing.
    * You increase your chances of breaking out of your old habits and trying something new.
    * You gain more peace of mind when it comes to your appearance since you're utilizing
       the input of a professional.
    * You reap the benefits of an improved professional image, which is your ultimate goal.

4. Your Individual Wardrobe Design
  • The way we go about helping you to put together a wardrobe that you'll come to enjoy since it will satisfy your business needs as well as reflects your own individual style is by partnering with you in identifying the type of clothing and designs that truly appeal to you. Since we only deal in custom clothing and we offer an unlimited selection of fabric and styles, there will be no need for you to compromise your choices.

  • Thus the by-product of working together with you will result in clothing that fits you like nothing else you've ever had in the past and the image of the finished garments will reflect none other but you.

5. How To Work With Your Stylist

Just like all professional services, we have developed a concise and well thought-out questionnaire that we ask you to fill out for us on the initial contact, which will help us get to know you and to understand your needs and your likes and dislikes as it pertains to clothing.

As you establish a relationship with us, you'll also get to know us better and discover the extent of what we can offer you. Therefore, you will become more aware of what you truly like, since you now have available to you more options than you ever had in the past.

Since clothing is visual communication, the image that you want people to perceive you by, is expressed through what you are wearing. Your wardrobe selections will be perfected incrementally as you learn more of your likes and dislikes and as we come to know you better.

Since we are experts in the realm of the non-verbal communication of clothing, and we partner with you to identify your needs and your likes and dislikes, there remains no reason for you to doubt that as a net result of doing business with us, you'll definitely end up with a closet full of favorites.

7. Color Analysis

To illustrate the importance of color, consider that when looking at clothing, as a general rule, your eye is drawn first to the color before you consider any of the other elements such as pattern or style, etc..

Some of the basic principals of this critical element of clothing are:

1. Every color has a specific psychological effect on the individual looking at it, among them: trustworthiness, honesty, friendliness, etc..

2. Color conveys a particular message to the audience before the speaker has a chance to utter a word.

3. Not everyone can wear the same color as effectively, just like not everyone can deliver the same speech with the same effect. As you might say, "It has to be tailored to the individual".

By working with you to identify your best colors, and by having all our fabrics color coded, we make sure that the colors you choose for all your clothing will help you to present yourself under the best light.

8. We can promise you a closet full of favorites!

  • Our expertise as Wardrobe Designers and Stylists will include advising you in how to put together a professional wardrobe that will fully satisfy your professional needs yet not lacking in individual flair
  • By doing this, we can guarantee you that you'll have a lot more clothes in your closet that you are going to love to wear, and get complimented on, and a lot less of the ones that sit in the back of your closet that you seldom want to wear and would rather give away.

9. The Naked Fit and Our Patented Tailoring Process

As Custom Tailors / Shirtmakers, we at Clothing Science, are nationally recognized for our patented tailoring process which guarantees you a perfect fit every single time without the need for any of the numerous and time consuming fittings and try-ons, or the awkward inseam measurement.

We have asked many of our clients to describe how they feel after putting our clothes on.
Some of their most interesting comments have been:

"I don't feel anything."
"I feel like I am wearing pajamas."
"They are so comfortable I could sleep in them!"
"They feel like the Emperor's New Clothes."
"I feel naked!" was also a frequent comment.

Hence "The Naked Fit": we think this is the most elegant description of what good fitting clothing should feel like.    We hope you agree!

10. How Can We Deliver Your Perfect Fit Every Time?

Following is how we can deliver you a perfect fit every time without a tailor taking the measurements and without the need for fittings and try-ons?

It takes about 35 measurements to deliver a perfect fitting suit.

  • Ten of these measurements are simple physical dimensions that anyone, including a tailor, can take, which we ask you to provide for us, if we are not meeting with you in person.
  • The remaining 25 intricate final garment dimensions are determined by our patented computer software. While in traditional tailoring, these measurements are only arrived at after all the mandatory fittings and try-ons are executed and after the suit is completely finished.
  • Since we can predetermine these critical dimensions beforehand, we therefore use them for the design of the initial custom pattern as well as for the quality control of the finished garment.

As a result, we have changed the rules of the game of how a custom suit should be tailored, by eliminating the need for any of the mandatory fittings and try-ons, which are the only means known to tailors in the traditional norm, that makes it possible for them to achieve the desired fit.

    11. One Suit - Different Options
    • A Ready To Wear suit is already made with predetermined size and style. Alterations to modify size or style are limited. It is available on the market from the lowest price to the highest.
    • A Made To Measure is a special order suit (not a Custom Suit) made from an existing pattern with limited options in size and style. These are available on the market from independents as well as the better men's stores they are only available in designers labels, but not all. They will generally cost about 20% more than the same suit in Ready To Wear.
    • A Custom or Bespoke suit will be made from your own personal pattern with no limit on adjustments in size or style. It is more labor intensive and requires multiple fittings and extensive hand work. The price can be 50% - 75% or more, higher than a Made To Measure, which will translate to more than twice the price of a Ready To Wear. This make of suits is generally available from small independent tailors.
    • A Custom / Bespoke by Clothing Science - we use our patented technologies to produce only Custom Clothing which can rival in fit the best that you can find on the market without the need for the multiple fittings or extensive hand work. As a matter of fact, the fit of our clothes has become renowned.
Thus we give you all the advantages of a Custom Made/Bespoke for the same price as an Off the Rack and less than for a Made To Measure.
    • We are able to do this because we don't charge you for the name on the label and we save you time and money by utilizing our patented tailoring process. We don't carry any rack inventory and we keep our overhead low.
    • Hand Tailoring, which is an extra cost, can be included in Ready To Wear as well as Made To Measure or Bespoke. We offer it at various levels, as an option with our clothing.

    12. Convenience - A Process Made Simple

Whether we meet with you in person or through the modern medium of the internet, we make the shopping experience more convenient for you.
What used to normally be a cumbersome process now can be accomplished conveniently by telephone or email from the privacy of your own office or home, or for that matter, from anywhere else you may happen to be.

    Some key points:

    1. We offer you a unique, one of a kind full wardrobe service and we come to you so you don't have to take the time to go to the stores.
    2. We offer you an unlimited selection of fabrics and styles and we assist you in the selection and coordination process as we get to know you better.
    3. We give you a perfect fit every time yet we don't ask you to endure the aggravations of try-ons and fittings and the precious time that it takes. In fact, we don't require any fittings!
    4. We illustrate for you, in color, the different options of coordinating your clothing, so you don't have to spend as much time doing it yourself every time you need to get dressed up.

    13. How Do I Compare What You Offer?

    • To help you appreciate all of the advantages that we offer and to properly evaluate our products and services, you can compare them to what you receive when buying from a retail store, where you have to deal with a limited rack inventory that was not necessarily made to fit you nor styled in the way that you like and a service that is geared to selling you the same suit that everyone else is wearing.
    • As a consequence, they are just selling you a product and not helping you to develop a personal image. When in fact

it is your unique individuality that sets you apart.

    14. How Much Value Do You Place on a Professional Image?
Now that we have established that the objective is to tailor for you a professional image that will help you to put your best foot forward, and to have your unique individuality stand out in the crowd without making it obvious, as Shakespeare describes it below, it is well to consider the value and the benefits of such an image by looking at the following two analogies:

  • If you want to drive a car that has the right image, you'll have to drive a certain make of cars.
  • If you want to live in a house that has the right image, you'll have to live in certain neighborhoods.

  • If you concur with these statements, you'll see that

  • It is the same with clothing. If you want to wear clothing that gives you the desired image, you will need the advice of a professional and to buy better quality clothing, which will generally be Designer Labels, and not the ones where you "Buy one and get one free."
  •

"Costly thy habit as thy purse can buy,
    but not express'd in fancy; rich, not gaudy;
for the apparel oft proclaims the man;".

    William Shakespeare, "Hamlet"

    15. Compare Our Prices!
    • While we do have various price points, our custom suits start at $875. Custom shirts start at $120. Prices are listed individually with each fabric sample on display.
    • With our present clients who were not accustomed to buying on this level and thought that dealing with us was an extravagant indulgence, they became converts when they put their first suit on. For those who were already paying designers prices, they say that the fit of our clothes is superior to any designer label they have every bought, at any price.

    16. Conclusion
      In conclusion,

We are changing the landscape of fully custom fit garments!

      • We have brought down the price of a fully custom-made suit to an everyday level, which makes it a better value than a ready-to-wear of equal quality.

      • We augmented the value further by adding our wardrobe stylist and coordination services at no additional cost to you. These services are normally charged separately at a high professional rate.

      • We deliver to you garments with the Naked Fit yet we spare you the awkward inseam measurement as well as the aggravations of the customary multiple fittings and try-ons and the time and effort that it takes you to go through them.

      • In addition, we are able to save you valuable time and expense by making the shopping experience more convenient by coming to you so you don't need to go to the stores.  When working with you on the web we don't even need to meet with you in person.

As a result, we have made it possible for more professionals to fully justify the expenditure they need to make, in order to acquire a complete custom wardrobe, which will enable them to create the level of image that they always wanted to project. In fact, they never thought they could ever be willing to pay for such a prestigious service.

To conclude, whether you are presently a valued client or planning on becoming one, you can be assured that we will be happy to walk the extra mile with you, to make sure you're completely satisfied and to earn the right to your business.

    As Lee Iacocca once said,
"If you can find a better deal,
    take it!"
